MRM Branding

 

CHALLENGE:

Develop a brand language for Many Rivers Montessori (MRM) that can be used on a all visual presentations, both tangible and online. The brand should commnicate a clean modern approach to a tried and true learning style. MRM will represent a school for children, though the look should be attractive to parents as well. MRM will start small though has the opportunity to grow to multiple montessori campus’. 

MRM is a step in the right direction for many parents that share a similar ideal for what a montessori school could/should be for all students, teachers and parents. The brand should visually articulate the idea of this holistic view of teaching, learning and parenting, and capture the modern ideal of this seasoned learning approach.

UNIQUENESS:

MRM is unique because of the body of people that make it. The personalities and ideas of the students, teachers, and parents are allowed to shine through and given the respect they deserve for the main goal of guiding and teaching their children to become confident and able adults. 

MRM is also unique in their offerings of the first toddler program, and first middle school montessori program in Duluth. They are also the first AMI recognized montessori school, as well as the first school to have accredited teachers. They will offer programs throughout the entire calendar year so that working parents know their children can be cared for and guided throughout summer and winter breaks. 

Because of their transparent and independent board, there is no doubt that the students best interests are always priority. 

CULTURE:

The culture is what defines MRM. MRM is a very inclusive and honest school that is not pushing toward the exclusive elite. With so many involved and passionate parents willing to be engaged in their children’s education, MRM cultivates a culture of love, encouragement and support. 

The goal of MRM is to help children learn to help themselves, and is prepared to allow the freedom and support to help nurture that objective. MRM will be a family of many families that create a child centred community rooted in the desire to see all of the students learn and grow.

MRM kids feel confident and love to do the work that they do. Their reward for work is a job well done, and its all they need when given the freedom and support that builds their confidence to take on their chores.

THE LOOK:

The look for MRM should invoke a clean modern feel. The brand should represent a center for children with the style of an architect. The look should be very orderly and precise while referencing a teaching method that has been around for 100 years. 

The look should pull from the wood fixtures used in many montessori classrooms and from the neat order found in the montessori tools.
